An electronic version of the sacred mancave, where men can relax, have fun, and even learn a thing or two
RSSI finally caught an episode of Howe & Howe Tech on TV the other night and it looked like every growing boys dream job. Not a lot of rules or formality, a lot of horseplay, and a job centered around building cool machines to destroy things and then getting to go try them out. What more could a boy ask for right? The episode that I just wanted had them building a dune buggy looking vehicle for a mining company that was durable, flame retardant, and capable of driving on steep inclines. There was a lot of drama in the shop about deadlines, losing contracts since they are a small family owned business competing with major defense contractors as well, and then the end where they take it out and test it in the pit to see if it sinks in the mud, rolls over on a sideways hill, extinguishes a fire that it drives over, and a variety of other tasks that looked really cool to test it for. It was pretty cool but after every commercial break it seemed like they repeated the last minute or so of the show right before the commercial so it felt like they were repeating themselves a lot which got a little annoying. All in all it wasn’t a bad show but not something I will tune in regularly to every week. It’s worth checking out but I didn’t like it as much as Orange County Choppers or Monster Garage or several other similar type shows.
